Bronwyn White, soprano, is an opera singer and recitalist based in San Antonio, Texas. Along with standard and contemporary operatic repertoire, Bronwyn has a love for programming collaborative recitals of classical and contemporary art song that focus on giving multi-dimensional perspectives to traditional feminine characters and archetypes. Bronwyn is an alumna of the Hattie Mae Lesley Apprentice Artist program at Fort Worth Opera, the Festival Artist program at Utah Festival Opera and Musical Theatre, the Young Artist Program at the iSing! International Festival in China, the Young Artist Program at Opera San Antonio, and the Festival Artist Program at the Natchez Festival of Music.

In the 2023-2024 season, Bronwyn will be appear as The Sandman (Hansel and Gretel) with Opera San Antonio, in a Solo Recital on Emily Dickinson with the Art Song Center for Poets and Musicians and the Soul’s Journey poetry circle, as Soprano Soloist in a new collaboration with performance artist Christie Blizard, and in a Solo Recital for First Presbyterian Church of San Antonio for their Midday Noel concert series.

Bronwyn’s engagements for the 2022-2023 season included Soprano Soloist (RIP 2020) with SOLI Chamber Ensemble, a repeat performance as Soprano Soloist (Vespers for a New Dark Age) with EnsembleNewSRQ and Verdigris Ensemble and Soprano Soloist (The Branch Will Not Break) with EnsembleNewSRQ , Solo Recital (Songscapes: Roman Landscapes) for San Antonio Museum of Art, a recording for Parma Records as Soprano Soloist (RIP 2020), and Soprano Soloist in the recording of Christie Blizard’s Plant Sounds, which premiered at Ballroom Marfa.

Other recent performances include appearances as Soprano Soloist with Suzhou Symphony Orchestra in Suzhou and Nanjing as part of the iSing! International Festival; Soprano Soloist in a recording of Let My Body Eat the Sun with Fort Worth Contemporary Arts; features in two newly recorded non-fungible token releases, Betty’s Notebook and Día de Muertos, with Verdigris Ensemble; Soprano Soloist (Vespers for a New Dark Age) with EnsembleNewSRQ; Countess Ceprano (Rigoletto) with Opera San Antonio; Solo Recital at the Dallas Songwriting Workshop; Soprano Soloist (Tse Go La) with San Antonio Chamber Choir; and The Mother in Amahl and the Night Visitors and the cover of Norina (Don Pasquale) at Fort Worth Opera.

Cancellations due to COVID-19 included contracted performances as Isabelle Eberhardt (Song from the Uproar: The Lives and Deaths of Isabelle Eberhardt) with the Dallas Symphony/SOLUNA Festival, the cover of Marie (La Fille du Régiment) with St. Petersburg Opera, and Gretel (Hänsel und Gretel) with Amarillo Opera.

Bronwyn has won First Place at the Young Texas Artists Music Competition, Second Place at the Wednesday Morning Music Club Competition, a Finalist Award at the Lois Alba Aria Competition, the Distinction Award at the Metropolitan International Music Festival Competition, First Place at the Friday-Woodmere Music Club Competition, was named a Finalist in the New Jersey State Opera Competition and Michael Ballam's Concorso Lirico International Competition. She has been featured as a soloist with the Suzhou Symphony Orchestra, the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, the Atlantic Music Festival Orchestra, the New York Opera Exchange and Orchestra, the Texas Christian University Wind Symphony, the Texas Christian University Symphony Orchestra, the Texas Christian University Collegium Musicum, the Purchase Symphony Orchestra, and the Anchorage Concert Chorus and Orchestra. As a recitalist, she has performed at the San Antonio Festival of French Culture and the TCU Festival of American Song

Bronwyn holds an Artist Diploma from Texas Christian University, a Master of Music from the State University of New York - Purchase, and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
